Efficiency statements of many home air purifiers look impressive at first
glance. Air purifiers with HEPA filters often advertise efficiencies of
99.97% for particles of 0.3 microns (that's about 240 times smaller than the
width of a human hair). That sounds very impressive, but 90% of all
particles in the air are smaller than 0.3 microns e.g. many viruses,
bacteria, chemical fumes and gases! And these tiny particles are the ones
that irritate the breathing passages and the lung and are therefore
dangerous for our health. IQAir's patented HyperHEPA filtration is tested
and certified to filter down
to 0.003 microns with a guaranteed minimum efficiency of over 99,5%. Everything
smaller than that becomes a gas. This is 100 times smaller than what can be
achieved by ordinary HEPA technology.
Guaranteed performance, even for the smallest particles
Advanced testing with a particle scanner allows scientists to examine the
ultra fine particles in ambient air and the actual filtration efficiency of
the IQAir. Some air cleaners that claim to be cleaning the air actually have
millions of ultra fine particles escaping their filters. The IQAir is the
first air purifier ever to achieve a "0" (zero) reading on a particle
scanner test. This means that advanced testing equipment can find no
particles escaping it's advanced HyperHEPA system. IQAir systems offer

How it works
Air with it's pollution particles, like pollen, mold, pet dander,
bacteria and viruses enters
the unit at it's base and is drawn through the two-stage PreMax pre-filter
that already removes 90% of the particles (this protects the HyperHEPA
filter from premature loading).
At the heart of the unit, sandwiched between its noise absorbing filters,
is the powerful centrifugal fan which generates the air flow.
Then the air is pushed through 40 sq.ft. of tightly pleated HEPA filter
media for filtration of the ultra-fine particles. The superior construction
of this HyperHEPA filter ensures clean room grade performance.
Allergen, bacteria and virus free air is returned into the room, without
a disturbing draft.

intelligent filter life calculator, that calculates the remaining filter life of the unit's individual filter elements
a daily and weekly timer to automatically switch the air cleaner on/off at a preset time
a countdown timer to allow the IQAir to run for a set number of hours before automatic switch-off
A remote control is included to turn the unit
on and off or to change between the 6 fan speed settings.
IQAir filters last a long time because they include a lot of filter material. IQAir® replacement filters are inexpensive and rarely need changing.
